"All horses deserve, at least once in their lives, to be loved by a little girl." -Unknown
For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by horses. As a child, the sight of a horse would bring me to tears for the wanting of one.
EQuus fuses my intense childhood love of the horse with an equal obsession with digital design elements.
THE LOGO
Again, my business name has always been: EQuus Equine Design, not EQuus Web Design. The web design was just the domain name available at the time I started up EQuus. I'd already been thinking about changing the logo - to match the attitude of my eye poppin', show stompin'...butt kickin' theme. A friend (and client - It's a Wrap! Equine Design, Shauna), is in the process of creating Polo Wraps (WRAPsody Polos to be exact) with a beautiful fabric with stars, celestial bodies, etc. I took the swath of that fabric and incorporated it into the horse in my logo and ran with the "theme" - which all revolves around my Appy Mare, Nova, who is named such because she only has a few spots and they remind me of stars. The inspiration isn't just the fabric - it's aboutt his horse, who I was given to me and whom I only had for 2 weeks and 2 days before she suffered a freak accident and has since become possibly permanently lame. When the vets wanted to give up, she still fought - and is still fighting. She gives me hope and is my inspiration. Every day.
MICHELE
That's me.
Surrounded by Amish in small town Indiana, I am a happily married Mom of three. We have deep family roots in Kentucky and visit often - sometimes too often! We live in an old general store on a mini farm with an array of livestock and pets, including Nova of course! I wrestled with the idea of keeping EQuus less familiar but it's not my style. I invite my clients to know me, to understand what makes me -what makes EQuus- different. You can't do that without opening the doors. My door is always open - come on in. Sit a spell.
If you have any questions about EQuus Equine Design or about me, feel free to call, email or text - or chat on Facebook. While I am professional, your ears may burn with some cussing, your eyes will blur with a few typos (hopefully none on my website!) and more often than not, I'll be up late, working and making a name for myself!

EQuus Equine Design is the sole proprietorship of Michele Strotman and a subsidiary of Stinky Web Designs.
